Changelog

Live project views, a guided first run, and a chat page

New

  • Open project views stay up to date as Captures, Requests, Specs, and Sources change, including source indexing progress and updates from other tabs and background work.
  • A guided first run in the sidebar walks you through five steps, from connecting a source to generating your first Spec.
  • Chat has a full page of its own, reached from the Chat tab in the sidebar, with your conversations listed alongside it.
  • Workspaces and projects support avatars, set in General settings.

Improved

  • The chat opens as a panel beside the page instead of covering it, sliding in and out.
  • The chat panel shows the current conversation's title, and its history button sits with the other icon buttons.
  • New conversation is offered once a conversation exists.
  • The sidebar toggles with Ctrl/⌘ B.
  • Repeat feedback joins the Request it duplicates.
  • The repository picker refreshes in place to pick up newly granted repositories.
  • Request and Spec table headers stay visible while scrolling.
  • Uploading files to a Capture shows live progress per file, lets you add or remove files before uploading, and keeps working if you cancel partway through.
  • Creating a project from the sidebar offers the same AI fill and the same full set of project details as the guided first run.
  • The AI-filled project form can be sent back for another try, letting you revise what you gave the AI and run it again up to three times.

Fixed

  • Filling a project in with AI returns an answer in seconds.
  • The guided first run saves your progress through every step, so it advances past adding a Capture.
  • The submit button works in the dialogs for adding a Capture, creating a project or workspace, sending feedback, and editing a reviewer agent or routine.
  • Feedback that reports several problems at once becomes a single Capture holding the full original text, with one Request per problem.
  • Uploading a long file creates its Capture instead of failing on a truncated reply.
  • Opening a Spec with the chat panel already open keeps the page working.
  • Keyboard shortcuts stay quiet while you type in a text field, so Chinese punctuation reaches the field it was meant for.
  • Signing in goes straight from the loading spinner into the app.
  • Google Drive picking re-requests access when the Drive permission was left unchecked.
  • Avatar uploads are capped at 5 MB and say why a file was rejected.
  • The sidebar shows its full menu after the window shrinks to phone size.
  • Paddi loads the newest version right after a release.
  • Failed actions report what went wrong.
  • A source suggestion that fails to send keeps what you typed.
  • Spec templates and generated Specs follow the workspace's AI content language.
  • The interface language options in Settings always show their own language's name, so you can tell them apart no matter which language is currently selected.

Pages use the full window height

Fixed

  • Pages with more content than fits the window now scroll instead of leaving the extra content unreachable.
  • Pages with little content, like Captures, now fill the available screen height again instead of shrinking to fit their content.

File-aware conversations and faster feedback triage

New

  • Agent conversations now accept PDF, Office, text, and image attachments so Paddi can work directly from source material.
  • Attachments remain available in conversation history, can be retained or removed while editing a message, and return automatically when regenerating a response.
  • You can now upload feedback files from Captures or Sources.
  • The agent can now pause for structured decision questions and resume the conversation with the user's selections as explicit context.

Improved

  • Agent runs now continue when you navigate away, reload, open the conversation in another tab, or temporarily lose the connection.
  • Reconnecting restores the in-progress response, repeated sends return to the active run, and stopping a run preserves its partial output.
  • Request management now uses a denser table for scanning and operating on the backlog without opening every Request.
  • The table shows status, type, category, last update, and priority score, with a detailed score breakdown available on demand.
  • Requests can be searched or filtered by type, status, category, and specific Request.
  • Row actions cover Spec status, Notion or Jira export, Spec locking and deletion, Request archiving, trash, and recovery.
  • The sidebar now has a search entry that opens the command palette, with its keyboard shortcut shown alongside.
  • Mobile navigation now exposes the main sidebar from the page header, and the Captures detail sidebar adapts to smaller screens.
  • Form validation and service failures now use localized, actionable messages instead of raw or generic errors.

Fixed

  • Source re-indexing now shows the Indexing state immediately after it is requested, so the page no longer appears idle while work is starting.
